Bricolage Interior Branded Spaces
With a $35 million extensive renovation complete, we scouted and designed interior spaces for Bricolage’s fifth and final residence serving pre-kindergarteners through 8th graders. Various areas needed branded content to reflect Bricolage’s values and school spirit for both the current student body and prospective parents.
- Community Building
- Recycle, Reuse, Repurpose, and Repair
- Inclusive, socio-economically diverse student Body

How We Think > Creative Process
Research methods and design solutions can develop over weeks, months and even years. The goal here is to show a snippet of research, concept plus style, and a significant result.
With Bricolage’s curriculum focused on design, engineering, and creativity, its students now gained full access to:
- 32 traditional classrooms and two special education rooms;
- a library, two music rooms, two art studios with kilns, and two science labs with sinks;
- a new gymnasium, a beautiful auditorium, and an innovative Maker Space.
Bricolage now had the needed space and technological upgrades. But, this historic architectural gem did not yet reflect its current community and school spirit. We scouted the renovated facility to create detailed experiences that connect and orient all visitors to highly trafficked areas. We installed branded content to reflect Bricolage’s mission, values, and spirit in shared everyday spaces.
The natural choice made sense to adopt the John McDonogh Trojan Mascot, the primary 2-color palette and Bricolage’s brand attributes in various applications.
When adopting a pre-existing brand symbol, Bricolage now needed a brand refresh and athletic mascot redesign. This creative phase would honor separate pasts and look to a united future that all members could identify.
Additionally, we planned to reuse 100 posters from Bricolage’s 3rd temporary post at Our Lady of the Holy Rosary for new installation.
